Role Summary Ensure the quality and safety of engineering deliverables by overseeing design reviews and refining standards. You’ll mentor others in QA/QC practices, manage risk, and help maintain technical excellence. This role is ideal for detail‑oriented professionals who are committed to upholding high standards, refining processes, and ensuring consistent quality across engineering deliverables and team outputs.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Engineering Technology
10+ years of experience
Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
Experience working with AutoCAD, ACADE, or Inventor
Expert in the design of substation physical structures, wiring, and controls
Authoritative ability to comprehend and interpret safety codes, utility standards, and regulations
Strategic and detail‑oriented, with advanced analytical and problem‑solving skills and the ability to optimize complex systems and workflows
Trusted and respected, with deep expertise in fostering collaboration across disciplines and driving innovation within project teams
Forward‑thinking communicator with the ability to translate technical concepts for diverse audiences and drive cross‑functional collaboration
Valid Driver’s License is required
Responsibilities
Oversee design reviews and validation procedures
Review and ensure the accuracy and safety of the design of high voltage substations
Establish and refine quality standards aligned with industry best practices
Spearhead the development and implementation of quality control procedures
Mentor engineers with varying levels of experience in applying QA/QC principles and maintaining technical excellence
Champion QA/QC processes to ensure consistent delivery of high‑quality engineering outputs
Interface with project managers to align quality goals with schedule and budget
