This vacancy is with the Department of Budget & Finance, Administrative & Research Office.
Salary : $9,462 to $15,137 per month (EM-05, Minimum to Maximum)
An Administrative Services Officer in the State service is involved in the total management process in providing, securing and negotiating for the services, materials and other resources necessary to the effective, efficient, and economical accomplishment of the organization's goals and mission. Services include program analysis and evaluation; budget formulation, presentation and control; review and processing of all expenditures; maintenance of a system of accounts; supply and equipment procurement; property and space management; organization and methods analysis; reports, records and forms management; position management and job analysis; employee placement and development; employee‑management relations; and administrative personnel services.
This position is NOT an office support or secretarial position.
To qualify, you must meet all of the following requirements:
Legal Authorization to Work
The State of Hawaii requires all persons seeking employment with the government of the State shall be citizens, nationals, or permanent resident aliens of the United States, or eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment in the United States.
Education
A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
Specialized Experience
Four (4) years of progressively responsible professional experience which demonstrated the ability to perform administrative assignments in two (2) or more staff service functions such as:
Budget formulation and justification
Fiscal management
Personnel management
Organizational and/or operational research and analysis
Administrative Experience
Two (2) years of responsible professional experience which involved active participation in and major responsibility for the development, management, execution and coordination of policies, programs, and/or activities.
