Position Summary
Exterior Services Technician - DOT Operator at Walmart plays a crucial role in overseeing landscape projects and collaborating with a dedicated team to maintain the grounds year‑round. Duties include mowing, trimming, and pruning to ensure the exterior environment remains pristine.
What you’ll do
Oversee all ground maintenance activities in parking lots, exterior buildings, and surrounding areas to uphold cleanliness standards; operate specialized equipment and vehicles; work alongside fellow associates to manage all aspects of landscaping and exterior maintenance; adhere to safety, security, and integrity protocols; ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations and other corporate policies.
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum age of 21 years
Valid state‑issued driver’s license, held for at least 3 years with a clean driving record and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report
Ability to read, write, and speak effectively in English
Ability to successfully complete a DOT physical and secure medical certification (minimum 90‑day card)
No DUI/DWI convictions or reckless driving incidents involving alcohol or drugs within the last 3 years
Key Responsibilities
Conduct grounds maintenance activities in parking lots, exterior buildings, and surrounding areas to uphold cleanliness standards.
Operate specialized equipment and vehicles to complete tasks.
Work alongside fellow associates to manage all aspects of landscaping and exterior maintenance.
Adhere to stringent safety, security, and integrity protocols, ensuring compliance with local, federal, and state regulations.
Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations and guidelines.
Evaluate landscaping needs and implement sustainable upgrades.

Compensation & Pay
The hourly wage range for this position is $19.00 - $35.00, with actual hourly rate based on skill set, experience, level of job offer, qualifications, and other factors. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances depending on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed.
