Position Overview
Working within established procedures and guidelines, this position is responsible for accurately identifying, controlling and moving stocks around the plant, and recording those movements in the relevant computer systems. The role also performs inventory counts and assists in root‑cause investigation of discrepancies.

Essential Duties

Accurately identify all materials within the facility and control their physical location.

Perform physical transport, lifting, order pulling or picking, stocking, and receipt and delivery of materials to and from established areas.

Move materials around the plant by manual physical transport requiring lifting, pushing, and pulling.

Perform data entry transactions within the relevant computer systems to ensure accurate record keeping.

Assist all areas/departments with material support for ECOs, samples, projects, and/or plant tests.

Assist in resolution of problems encountered pertaining to material handling and inventory control.

Perform inventory counts and assist in the root‑cause investigation of discrepancies.

Coordinate recycling program including prescribed sorting, and coordination with supplier for returns.

Follow all company policies and established operating procedures for the assigned material handling operations.

Require the ability to work any shift, overtime, or material handling area to meet business requirements.

Other Duties and Responsibilities

Follow all safety guidelines and handle hazardous material following established safety requirements.

Follow detailed instructions and safety guidelines for filling, emptying, mixing, and handling of chemicals and hazardous materials.

Safely handle chemicals in coordination with company policy and OSHA requirements.

Qualifications
Education

High school diploma or GED.

Experience

No prior experience required.

Previous SAP ERP system experience is preferred.

Previous experience working in a material handling role preferred.

Previous experience working within a high volume repetitive manufacturing environment preferred.

Skills

Ability to consistently demonstrate attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.

Working knowledge of the regulatory requirements and operating procedures for the material handling operation assigned.

Ability to learn and operate all necessary tools and equipment for the material handling operation assigned.

Understanding of traceability of materials, FIFO process, and how this relates to production.

Ability to make decisions when working with supervisors, leads, engineers, and others pertaining to parts exchange and its effect on material movement and inventory accuracy.

Ability to read, interpret, and understand production schedules and their effect on material handling.

Proficiency with ERP system and other relevant software applications.

Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Valid standard driver’s license to operate both Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) and company box truck.

Ability to obtain Terumo BCT licensing to operate PITs.

Physical Requirements

Use of personal protective equipment, reading, speaking, hearing, walking, bending, standing, stretching/reaching, hand/finger dexterity.

Must be able to work in a clean room environment, adhere to associated policies, and perform gowning of clean room attire in the allotted time prior to start-up.

Occasionally lift up to 50 pounds, transport up to 500 pounds via carts/racks, up to 1,500 pounds by pallet jack, and up to 5,000 pounds by electric pallet jack.

Requires good manual dexterity and visual acuity, including color discrimination.

Requires ability to regularly perform repetitive motions.

Must be able to work under fluorescent lighting.

Must be able to maintain pace with the material demands of the production facility.

Requires ability to sit or stand for the duration of the shift.

Must be able to work in an environment where exposure to moving mechanical parts, high and/or precarious places, wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, outside weather conditions, extreme cold, extreme heat, risk of electrical shock, and/or vibration may exist.

Benefits
Target Pay Range: $23.00–$25.50 hourly (rate determined by education, experience, skills, and market data). Target Bonus on Base: 7.0%.
