Summary
Safely and efficiently operate a variety of processing and packaging equipment involved in the preparation of liquid and dry blend products. This includes weighing, combining, and mixing materials; monitoring and manipulating materials at various stages of processing; filling containers; and preparing products for shipping.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Work safely and follow all safety rules.
Follow all formulating instructions as specified.
Read and understand Manufacturing Process Sheets (Blend Sheets).
Complete all production paperwork accurately and on time (end of shift).
Pick and assemble raw materials by product name and Lot No. as described on the work order with the RSF scanner.
Weigh raw materials or ingredients accurately as instructed by the amounts directed on the work order with the Metler Toledo Weighing system.
Bin‑move leftover partial raw material to the proper bin location using the RFS scanner.
Package and label product in the proper container according to procedure and directions.
Weigh all finished material accurately.
Palletize or stack finished product according to procedure, directions, or Supervisor’s directions.
Inform Supervisor, lab, and shipping department when ready for shipment.
Fill out all packing paperwork accurately and on time.
Clean and sanitize area and equipment to prepare for the next batch. All production and packing equipment must be cleaned and organized before shifts end.
Maintain clean work areas, including sweeping, mopping, organizing, cleaning pails and keeping floors clean as directed by Supervisor or management.
Operate various pieces of warehouse material handling equipment.
Treat equipment with care while performing the job.
Cooperate with supervisory staff, co‑workers, and management.
Advise supervisor or management when leaving the work area or building.
Work flexible hours to accommodate customer needs.
Work overtime when needed.
Perform sanitization duties as instructed by supervisor or management.
Perform material and packing inventory as instructed by supervisor or management.
Perform other duties as instructed by supervisor or management.

Qualifications
Minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
Ability to follow precise instructions and observe good manufacturing practices.
1–2 years of previous weighing and batching experience in food manufacturing.
Familiarity with or ability to learn the metric system used in vitamin product manufacture.
Integrity, openness, honesty, accountability, and responsibility.
Good communication with co‑workers and management.
Ability to read and write English with at least 50% literacy.
Work Conditions & Physical Requirements
Lift up to 55 lbs.
View a computer screen and type for extended hours.
Stand for extended periods of time.
Wear required PPE such as scrubs, hair net, lab coat, and facemask.
Work in a packaging area with moderate powder substance in the air, with or without a respirator.
Work above shoulder height.
Squat, bend, twist, and perform bilateral wrist movement frequently.
Work in environments with various smells and aromas.
Adjust work schedule as business needs require.
Quality/Safety Responsibilities
All employees must ensure compliance with food safety, food defense, and food quality standards (FDA, ILDPH, FSMA, BRC) and occupational safety and health standards under OSHA. Employees are required to follow all company rules, regulations, and procedures to safeguard health and safety.
