Overview
At Kanaan Communications, LLC, as a Telecom Drill Bores Operator you will have a minimum of one year of work experience. You’ll be responsible for operating drill equipment to install underground telecommunications cables and infrastructure.
What You’ll Do
Determine bore path and locate utilities
Safely operate and control all necessary equipment to complete assigned tasks
Verify existing utilities by potholing to determine bore path
Utilize mud‑mixing systems
Develop and maintain a bore schedule
Responsible for site set‑up, clean‑up, and equipment maintenance
Perform work in all weather conditions
Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
18 years of age or older
Authorization to work in the United States for this company
High school diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience
Valid state driver’s license (cannot be provisional) with an acceptable driving record
Valid Class A commercial driver’s license with tanker endorsement or willingness to obtain one
Experience with drilling equipment, including their capabilities, limitations, and drill setup and design processes
Minimum one year of work experience to qualify for the $3000 sign‑on bonus
Physical Abilities & Exposures
Routinely work with arms above shoulder level, in confined spaces and remote locations, operate heavy machinery, squeeze, fine hand motion, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs, and lift greater than 55 pounds
Occasionally use ladder, keyboard, and mouse
