Financial Program Advisor.

Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and maintain programs regarding personnel security, information security, physical security, litigation security, and emergency preparedness planning.

Report on financial management, accounting, administrative and budgetary matters.

Plan, direct, and coordinate all financial management activities.

Oversee status of funds review to prevent Anti‑Deficiency Act violations.

Oversee and manage budget operations for the Working Capital and General Appropriation funds.

Requirements

You must be a United States Citizen or National.

You must successfully pass a security/background investigation and a drug screening.

You must be a current permanent Department of Justice employee with competitive status or a CTAP/RPL eligible candidate.

You must meet all applicable time‑in‑grade requirements by the closing of this announcement.

This position requires a one‑year probationary period to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties unless previously completed.

You must be able to obtain and maintain a Sensitive Compartmented Information security clearance.

This position requires a valid U.S. driver's license.

Qualifications
To qualify for the position of Financial Program Advisor, GS‑0501‑14, you must have one year of specialized experience at the GS‑13 grade level or equivalent federal pay band. Specialized experience is defined as analyzing, planning, and/or coordinating all phases of budgeting needs; identifying budget funding limitations and/or approving or disapproving of budgetary items.

All qualification requirements, including time‑in‑grade, must be met by 05/01/2026 of this announcement. Your resume must support your responses to the application questionnaire and the qualification requirements; failure to do so may result in an ineligible rating.
