Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering(Master’s preferred)
10+ years of related experience.
Expertise in Statics and Dynamics
Expertise in Hydraulics and Electro-Mechanical
Expertise in Stress, Fatigue, and Performance Analysis
Expertise in Rotating Machinery
Expertise in FEA tools and CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics)
Expertise in Model Based Design
Duties and Responsibilities Plan and conduct efforts requiring authoritative judgment in the evaluation,selection, and substantial adaptation and modification of standard andnonstandard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria
Independently devise new approaches for the problems encountered and plansand coordinates the work of others on major engineering projects
Develop new product requirements through consulting with customers and salespersonnel
Validate conceptual problem solutions by performing trade studies andanalyses
Lead a design proposal team in preparing a design, estimating costs, andassisting in writing the technical volume
Provide effective, compassionate project leadership to a team of creative,independent individuals, soliciting and being sensitive to design feedback
Select, initiate and perform specialized research; create reliable designsthrough a comprehensive experimental development test program
Document designs, analyses, and test results with accurate and concisereports
