Opportunity
The Warehouse Technician is responsible for maintaining required inventory levels ensuring specifications, quantity, and quality of orders are correct; verifying stock and identifying losses; maintaining an organized warehouse layout; processing purchase orders; loading outgoing freight; unloading incoming freight; maintaining records; and managing all returns. Position requires work inside as well as outside, including working in inclement weather.
Responsibilities
Operate warehouse equipment (forklift, hand trucks, pallet jacks, etc.) for moving large and heavy items safely and effectively.
Ensure customer orders are correct and assist customers in a timely and professional manner.
Maintain a viable relationship with truck drivers and customers to ensure needs are met at all times.
Safely lift, push, pull, and lower up to 450 lbs. barrels of lubricants numerous times daily.
Maintain quantities of bulk oil and notify supervisor of any discrepancies.
May be required to fill in for City Delivery Driver.
Education
High School Diploma or GED, preferred but not required.
Requirements
Ability and willingness to use safety glasses, safety shoes, and ear plugs.
2+ years' experience working in a warehouse environment.
Valid Driver’s License.
Ability to acquire DOT Medical Card prior to starting.
Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
Ability to manage priorities and workflow.
Must be able to obtain forklift certification within 3 months.
Physical ability to immediately respond to emergency situations.
