In your role as a structural engineer at Mi-Tech, you’ll design a wide variety of temporary and permanent structures associated with the construction of utility, infrastructure and heavy civil projects. Primary job responsibilities include developing calculation submittals, development of design and shop drawings, and supporting project pursuits and bids through preliminary evaluations and analyses. Additional tasks include supporting other engineers, communication and coordination with design and field teams, and providing support to senior engineers with any other assigned duties.
Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and 0 to 2 years minimum of experience in the design of temporary works, heavy civil, or infrastructure projects.
Master's degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in structures preferred.
Successful completion of the FE exam.
Proficiency with MS Excel, Mathcad, AutoCAD, and Finite Element Analysis.
Previous construction field experience is a plus.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a quickly changing environment.
Excellent interpersonal skills, oral and written communication are required.
Must possess a valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record as determined by the Michels Review Team.
