Treasury Quantitative Strategy & Analytics Associate

The Quantitative Strategy & Analytics (QSA) team within Consumer and Community Banking Treasury tackles high-priority strategic projects sponsored by the CFO and the Treasurer that directly influence the balance sheet of the largest retail bank. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for applying treasury principles to balance sheet analytics, synthesizing strategic insights, and communicating compelling recommendations to executive stakeholders.
As an Associate on the Quantitative Strategy & Analytics team, you will recommend balance sheet actions in response to evolving business dynamics in an uncertain macroeconomic environment, enhance frameworks supported by analytics to best guide business decisions, and analyze assumptions for capital, liquidity, funds transfer pricing, interest rate hedging, and balance sheet forecasting.
Job Responsibilities

Transform complex business scenarios and behaviors into financial or mathematical representations to drive evidence‑based treasury decisions, working with LOB partners to gather and ensure the integrity of input data. Execute analyses to support discussions and guide LOB decision‑making.
Develop an understanding of the treasury and balance sheet management content knowledge underlying the advisory toolkit of QS&A. Participate in team problem‑solving sessions in support of strategic business decision making.
Contribute to the production of visualizations, dashboards, and narratives for written materials to ensure they deliver clear and powerful messages to a senior audience.
Build relationships with finance and business partners firm‑wide through collaboration on critical strategic projects.
Own end‑to‑end work streams within the context of large‑scale projects, ensuring timely production of deliverables and proactively raising potential issues in the fast‑paced environment of a small team with competing priorities and high‑stakes responsibilities.
Required Qualifications

3+ years of experience in banking, consulting, finance, strategy, capital markets, asset management, or risk management, or an advanced degree.
Quantitatively focused degree or other demonstrated quantitative and analytical ability.
Versatile advanced Excel skills to prototype solutions to complex business problems or design visualizations to help answer strategic business questions.
Excellent written (PowerPoint) and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively discuss and debate complex concepts with senior stakeholders.
Analytical, resourceful and self‑motivated individuals with a keen interest in financial services strategy, balance sheet management, banking, and corporate finance.
Preferred Qualifications

MBA, MSc, MA equivalent and/or progress towards CFA charter.
Experience using scripting or programming languages and statistical packages such as Python, R, or SQL.
