Responsibilities

Our Financial Analysts play a key role in keeping our departments and programs on track. Use Earned Value Management System (EVMS) and other monitoring processes to keep projects and programs moving in the same direction with accurate and complete information.

Be a proactive, self-starter who can work effectively in a team environment with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with Program Management, Material Planning and Operations.

Be detail oriented with good organizational skills and capable of multi-tasking with minimal day-to-day supervision.

Demonstrate aptitude for efficiency, problem-solving, and resourcefulness, with a commitment to quality while developing leadership skills as a key business partner.

Apply Earned Value Management (EVM), Finance, and accounting skills to prepare financial reporting on a major defense program; use metrics of management best practices and prepare reports reflecting Awards, Sales, Profit, and Cash.

May assist proposal teams to develop bases-of-estimate, provide actuals data, and support fact-finding
egotiations as needed.

Develop and present briefing of program financial status to the customer; educate PMO and CAMS with internal reports on cost and schedule performance.

Educate and lead financial analysts in Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) organization, creation and maintenance of charge numbers.

Generate program financial artifacts such as EV reports, graphs, and analysis as required for customer reporting.

Communicate within and outside the organization to explain and influence changes to practices and processes; implement process improvement initiatives.

Perform ad-hoc analysis, data integrity checks, and validations related to program financials; ensure compliance with Federal regulations.

Maintain broad knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior finance experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior finance experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior finance experience.

Preferred Additional Skills

Ability to accurately perform financial calculations used in cost/budget analysis.

Computer skills including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word; Access is a plus.

Proficiency with imported/exported data and understanding of general accounting principles and earned value management, including ability to assess cost data and forecast expenditures.

Proficiency with Excel and Microsoft Office; knowledge of cost/schedule development, budgeting, financial analysis and reporting, financial modeling, forecasting, and/or business acquisitions.

Familiarity with Contract Compliance and Negotiation; experience with customer/management reporting.

Ability/desire to mentor less experienced team members; ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
