Overview
Greiner Industries is seeking a skilled Crane Operator for the 1st Shift. The position offers a $2,500 New Hire Bonus.
Key Responsibilities
Safely drive the crane to the job site and operate the mobile crane to lift, move, position, and reposition loads.
Control rigging, lifting, moving, and positioning of loads with the crane.
Unload crane accessories, equipment, and materials from trailers or support vehicles, including set‑up and dismantling of the crane per ANSI and OSHA standards.
Receive direction from others via verbal or hand signals to determine required load movement.
Follow appropriate safety procedures and maintain logs of vehicle repair status and working hours.
Read and interpret load charts to determine the safe operating capacity.
Work outdoors year‑round under extreme environmental conditions and may be required to work weekends and holidays.
Minimum Education
High School

Qualifications
Commitment to a safe work environment, quality product, and teamwork.
NCCO certification for Large Hydraulic Crane (required)
NCCO certification for Small Hydraulic (preferred)
Class B CDL (Class A preferred)
Minimum 2 years direct crane operating experience
Knowledge of rigging equipment ranging in size, shape, and weight
Must be able to pass a drug test and background check
Must possess a current NCCCO or equivalent crane operator certification.
Must hold a license, if required, from the state/district where the crane will be operated.
Work performed outside in all weather conditions and at various locations.
Clean driving record with no serious traffic violations.
Knowledge of transportation safety standards, especially related to road safety and load handling.
High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
Special Skills
Excellent navigation and route planning skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with customers and team members.
Ability to handle paperwork accurately, such as delivery receipts and logs.
Proficiency in operating a variety of truck types and loading/unloading equipment.
Familiarity with modern technology and GPS systems for route management.
Physical Abilities
Ability to lift, load, and unload cargo, including heavy and bulky items, as required.
Ability to drive long distances for extended periods, sometimes in adverse weather conditions.
Physical stamina to sit for long hours and maintain focus on the road.
Good vision and hearing to monitor vehicle and traffic conditions.
Ability to handle physical strain, such as climbing in and out of the vehicle, and performing basic maintenance tasks like tire checks and fluid refills.
