Ryder is hiring a Floating Storeroom Attendant / Forklift Operator in Lake Worth, Florida — offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a career you can feel good about.
Compensation & Schedule
Hourly Pay: $18.97 per hour
Schedule: First Shift Monday - Friday 7:00 am - 3:30 pm
About the Role
Products being handled include inbound items such as bolts, cables, reels, wires, anchors, etc. Primary equipment includes a computer and sit‑down forklift.

Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
Clean driving record and possession of a personal vehicle; travel within the area approximately 25‑50% of the day
Strong technical aptitude: using Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, scanners, and entering orders into a WMS system
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted
Must be able to work both indoors and outdoors
Minimum of two years of related warehouse and powered industrial lift experience (for this role)
Ability to read, do basic mathematics, understand and respond to written and verbal instructions in English for safety, work instructions, policies, etc.
Ability to input data into a computer system
Work overtime as assigned
Must have a valid Driver's License and meet Ryder's driving qualifications
Responsibilities
Read, interpret, and apply Warehouse Management System (WMS) order instructions
Recognize and correct potential process errors before actions adversely affect the customer
Identify damaged product at any point in the warehousing process and take appropriate action when discovered
Pull orders accurately as assigned
Stage orders according to carrier location and verify the number of pallets picked as well as stage location
Prepare receiving, storage, and shipping documentation, retaining product accountability throughout the logistical process
Be aware of and follow location and work center safety and security policies and procedures
May be required to train others in various warehouse functions, including the safe operation of powered industrial lift equipment, perform housekeeping duties, and other duties as assigned
Operate forklift equipment or other warehouse machinery
