Job Summary and Responsibilities
As an Echocardio Tech, you will perform diagnostic echocardiography procedures to assist in diagnosing and treating cardiovascular conditions. Every day you will operate ultrasound equipment to capture high-quality cardiac images and data, ensuring patient comfort and performing a range of echocardiographic studies. To be successful, you will possess a strong understanding of cardiac anatomy, proficient technical skills, and effective communication abilities to provide exceptional diagnostic services.
Demonstrates skill necessary to perform best quality diagnostic echocardiograms, including measurements, recordings, and other related procedures on newborn, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
Consistently utilizes best patient positioning for optimal imaging.
Provides clean EKG as reference with cardiac and Doppler images.
Provides proper spectral and color flow Doppler as appropriate with the presented cardiac clinical findings.
Visualizes and records all standard views in all non-limited studies.
Superaexternal visualization of the aortic arch and great vessels in studies performed on neonates, pediatrics, and young adults with congenital abnormalities.
Job Requirements
Required
High School Graduate or GED
Minimum of one (1) year of independent experience performing neonatal, pediatrics, adult, and geriatric echocardiograms with spectral and color flow Doppler in an acute health care setting
AHA Basic Life Support - CPR
Preferred
Experience performing stress echocardiograms, treadmill stress tests, and Holter monitors scans and electrocardiograms
Associate Of Arts or Bachelors Of Science
Graduate of a two (2) year program and with a minimum of one (1) year internship in acute care cardiology setting
Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer
Pay Range
$46.62 - $57.90 /hour
