Description
Cardinal Shehan School, located in Baltimore, Maryland , is seeking a qualified

Administrative Assistant for the school office for the 2026–2027 academic school year . The Administrative Assistant will perform a wide range of administrative and office support activities for the school office.

Essential Functions

Greet and assist students, parents, staff, and visitors in a warm and professional manner

Answer and direct phone calls, take messages, and manage school email communications

Maintain student records, attendance data, and confidential files in accordance with school policies and privacy regulations

Assist with scheduling, calendar management, and coordination of meetings and school events

Process incoming and outgoing mail and school correspondence

Support teachers and administrators with clerical tasks such as copying, filing, and preparing materials

Coordinate student registration, enrollment, and withdrawal processes

Manage inventory and order office and classroom supplies as needed

Support emergency drills and safety protocols, including contacting parents and staff as needed

Serve as a liaison between the school, families, and district or diocesan offices

Perform other duties as assigned from time to time

Position Qualifications

Some college experience a plus.

2-5 years' experience in an administrative support role.

Previous experience in an educational setting (preferred).

Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Outlook, and Google Docs.

Knowledge of principles and practice of office management.

Commitment to exemplary customer service.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Desire to participate in on-going training.

Teamwork with an emphasis on flexibility and adaptability.

Effective problem solving, prioritization, and decision‑making skills.

Attention to detail and accuracy.

Ability to deal with the ambiguity of handling new questions or problems that occur throughout the day.

The ability to juggle multiple projects at the same time.

Willingness to research previous solutions as a resource in solving current issues.

Punctuality.

Pay Range:

$21.00 - $25.00, Annualized
