Basketball Coach

Requirements
Villanova Prep seeks a basketball coach to support the basketball program at various levels. This position reports directly to the Varsity Basketball Head Coach.
Major Areas of Responsibility:
Planning and conducting practices preparing student-athletes for competition
Support fundraising initiatives including clinics and summer camps
Ensure the safety of all participants enforcing safety protocols
Communicating with student-athletes, parents and families, school administration, teachers, and staff regarding expectations, schedules, and athletic program policies
Commitment to modeling the values of Catholic education and Villanova’s Augustinian mission
Required Qualifications:
Prior basketball coaching or playing experience
Ability to work well with high school students and with the rest of the coaching staff
Current, CPR, and First Aid certifications (or willingness to obtain)
After selection coaches must pass a background check, fingerprinting and complete CIF and Archdiocesan requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous high school or club basketball coaching experience
Experience working in a Catholic high school environment
The wage range is $2,000 – $5,000 depending on experience and number of teams coaching.
Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs. The wage range is $2,000 – $5,000 depending on experience and number of teams coaching.
