The County Clerk conducts all elections in Utah County pertaining to county, state, or national offices. Marriage licenses and passports are also processed in the Clerk's Office.

Applicants must be a U.S. citizen, 18 years of age or older, and eligible to register to vote.
The Opportunity
Under general guidance and supervision of the Ballot Center Supervisor, provides technical and support services for election data systems, hardware diagnostics, and reporting compliance. Conducts data analysis using scripting and automation tools, assists in the maintenance and upkeep of voting systems, and produces official election materials. Supports election integrity through hands‑on technical problem solving and end‑to‑end operational coordination.

Starting Pay: Grade 720
$23.27 - $26.74 Hourly

Schedule: 8 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday thru Friday

Job Qualifications

Associate's degree.

Three (3) years of general clerical, technical, or support experience, of which two (2) years are directly related to the duties described above.

Equivalent combinations of education and experience may also be considered.

Preferred Candidates Will Possess Some Of The Below Attributes

Preference may be given to applicants with Olene Walker VOTE certification or currently pursuing certification.

Preference may be given to applicants with knowledge of Utah Election laws, federal mandates, and County Clerk statutory obligations to ensure regulatory compliance.

Preference may be given to applicants with knowledge of elections equipment, software, and standard office practices.

Preference may be given to applicants with knowledge of GIS tools to design, analyze, and update precinct and district maps.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

Applicants must possess Olene Walker VOTE certification or obtain certification within three (3) years in position.

Applicants may be required to obtain a valid State of Utah driver's license within sixty (60) days of employment.

Selected applicants will be required to submit to a pre‑employment drug screen and background check.
