In this role, you will be an integral part of a nationwide sales team developing and managing an assigned territory. You will have the opportunity to provide patients with rare diseases with the life‑changing and potentially life‑saving treatment options they deserve.
Qualifications
BA/BS degree required, advanced degree is preferred
5+ years biotech / pharmaceutical and/or Biologic/Specialty sales experience. Also consider 3+ years of high science specialty experience with complex products or strong Oncology Device, Diagnostics or Specialty Pharmacy Oncology Experience
Oncology or Hematology experience a plus
Proven success in product launch and track record of sales targets and goals
Expertise in account‑based selling and managing complex sales processes
Highly motivated self‑starter with a strong drive to succeed
Excellent communication, analytics, and decision‑making skills
Analyze data and trends to create actionable business plans
Ownership mentality with urgency, initiative, and proactive problem solving
Persuasive/effective communication methods to facilitate acceptance of ideas or products
Self‑starter with high performance standards and ability to work independently
Responsibilities
Achieve and/or exceed targeted sales goals in an assigned territory by developing, implementing and executing an integrated territory business plan encompassing key accounts with the goal of maximizing sales
Identify key influencers and achieve designated customer interaction expectations with a focus on top target customers
Plan and organize activities in order to achieve set call metrics and optimize coverage and frequency to key customers to maximize access and sales opportunities
Deliver current and comprehensive clinical brand presentations to physicians and other appropriate health care professionals to drive appropriate utilization of the products
Navigate through complex external/customer organizational structures including hospitals, IDNs, GPOs, and healthcare communities while aligning with cross‑functional commercial partners
Develop a complete understanding of the health care delivery system within each assigned customer, including the physician hierarchy, key pharmacy personnel, clinical nursing staff, etc.
Develop in‑depth knowledge of each assigned customer account including strategic goals, value drivers, key access stakeholders, relevant business metrics, and unique challenges/emerging needs
Develop and deepen strategic partnerships. Account interactions to include but are not limited to oncology ‘C‑suite’ executives and key population health decision makers
Engage accounts proactively to achieve access in line with established sales goals
