Job Summary
Prepare to join our Member Services team at Planet Fitness. As a Member Services Representative (MSR), you will be the backbone of our club's daily operations, ensuring a positive, judgment‑free environment for members and guests while driving membership growth and operational excellence.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Greet members, prospective members and guests, providing an exceptional customer experience.
Enforce the Judgement Free zone and maintain a welcoming atmosphere.
Always smile and be courteous.
Take prospects on tours of the facility.
Handle all front desk related activities, including:
Answer phones in a friendly manner and assist callers with a variety of questions.
Check members into the system.
Process new member sign‑ups.
Help members download the PF Mobile App.
Facilitate needed updates to member accounts.
Respond to member questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner and elevate to Assistant Manager or Manager as needed.
Complete assigned cleaning areas.
Promote sales of tanning lotions and memberships.
Create connections with the community.
Qualifications / Requirements
Customer service background preferred.
Basic computer proficiency.
A passion for fitness and health.
Upbeat and positive attitude.
Experience in sales.
Punctuality and reliability are a must.
Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to interact positively and professionally with members and co‑workers, exceeding member expectations.
Strong listening and problem‑solving skills.
Diplomacy in all interactions and appropriate use of behavior and language.
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Must be 18 years of age or older.
CPR certification (AED/First Aid/CPR).
Physical Demands
Continual standing and walking during shift.
Continual talking in person or on the club phone during shift.
Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
