Security Officer Part Time Armed Driver (Odessa, TX)
As a Security Officer Part Time Armed Driver in Odessa, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an armed, driving patrol professional in a dynamic retail location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, remain visible to help discourage security‑related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service. Day Time, Monday 03:00 PM - 11:30 PM; Sunday 03:00 PM - 11:30 PM
What You’ll Do
Provide customer service to customers, visitors, and store staff by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and or appropriate emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, including situations that may require an armed presence in accordance with post orders and company policy.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the store, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
Monitor entry and exit activity, observe for potential theft, trespassing, and/or disorderly conduct, and report security‑related concerns to site contacts and local authorities when appropriate.
Document incidents, patrol activity, and unusual conditions in required reports, logs, and/or communication systems while following Allied Universal standards and location procedures.
Minimum Requirements
A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
A minimum of 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, corrections, and/or military experience or 5 or more years of armed security‑related experience is required.
A Level III Armed Certification is required in Texas only.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Must possess one or more of the following:
Minimum of three (3) years of military, law enforcement, or corrections officer experience
Minimum of five (5) years of employment in an armed security role
Current employment with Allied Universal with a minimum of five (5) years armed experience
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
