Key Responsibilities
Dishwashing & Sanitation
Wash, sanitize, and properly store dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans throughout the shift.
Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area, kitchen equipment, and food preparation spaces.
Follow Mosaic’s cleaning schedules and complete assigned daily, weekly, and monthly sanitation checklists.
Use proper techniques for handling, washing, and sanitizing kitchen tools and equipment in compliance with state and Mosaic standards.
Ensure cleaning supplies and chemicals are used safely and according to OSHA and infection control guidelines.
Return all cleaned dishes and utensils to their proper storage locations in a timely manner.
Equipment & Supply Support
Assist with receiving, unpacking, and safely storing deliveries as directed by the Dining Services Manager or Cook.
Monitor dishwashing equipment for proper operation and promptly report malfunctions or safety concerns.
Qualifications & Skills
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to prepare, serve, and handle food safely and efficiently.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact positively with residents and staff.
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40-50 pounds routinely.
Willingness to complete required Mosaic and state-mandated training.
Prior experience in dining, food service, or hospitality.
