Your opportunity
As an Associate Analyst on our Equity Research team, you will support fundamental research and idea generation across the Communications Services sector. This role is well suited to someone with strong analytical skills, a genuine interest in investing and in learning about new business models. The ideal candidate should be intellectually curious, highly motivated, and comfortable managing multiple priorities while producing rigorous, thoughtful research in a fast‑paced environment.
You will:
Collect, evaluate, and maintain industry and company data through a variety of channels, including sell-side research, internal and external databases, trade publications, web-based research, web scraping, and other proprietary and public sources
Build, maintain, and enhance Excel-based financial models across companies, industries, sectors, and relevant macro frameworks
Conduct primary research on key business drivers, strategic inflection points, competitive positioning, and company‑specific leverage points, including conversations with management teams, industry participants, and expert sources
Review and organize large and often imperfect datasets, synthesize information efficiently, and identify meaningful trends, risks, and opportunities
Independently expand the scope of assigned projects when doing so improves the research process or strengthens stock selection or conviction
Distill complex analysis into clear, concise, investment‑relevant conclusions for use in team discussions and decision‑making
Participate actively in Communications Services team meetings, company management meetings, and broader investment team meetings
Support evolving team priorities and take on additional responsibilities as needed in a fast‑paced, high‑accountability environment
Carry out other duties as assigned

Must have skills
Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, accounting, business, mathematics, or a related field
3–5 years of equity research experience, preferably on the buy side and ideally with experience in the Communications Services sector
Strong ability to gather, structure, analyze, and synthesize large amounts of information from varied sources
Solid grounding in valuation and financial analysis, including DCFs and return‑based frameworks such as ROIC and ROE
Demonstrated ability to analyze financial statements and build detailed financial models
Advanced Excel skills and strong overall technical proficiency including accounting
Strong multitasking, organizational, and prioritization skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple projects in a dynamic environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently, think critically, and make well‑reasoned decisions with limited oversight
Ability to collaborate effectively and build relationships that support strong execution and business outcomes
Nice to have skills
Demonstrated intellectual curiosity, creativity, and analytical rigor in situations involving complexity or incomplete information
Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to probe important details and develop insight through thoughtful dialogue
A track record of identifying non‑obvious trends, inflection points, or competitive advantages through original research
A proactive mindset and willingness to go beyond the immediate assignment when it will improve the investment process

The base salary range for this position is $120,000 - $150,000. This range is estimated for this role. Actual pay may be different. This position will be open through April 12, 2026.
