
Technical Leader – Configuration Management

Job Description Summary
The Configuration Management Technical Leader will be responsible for technical leadership of configuration management aspects of engineering development, implementation, launch, continuous improvement, and expansion of digital product suite related to project delivery. The person will collaborate with Engineering to develop and prioritize configuration management decision making related to features, product‑market fit, and broader digital product roadmap.
Roles and Responsibilities
Provide day‑to‑day team/technical leadership of the process.
Track compliance to policies and procedures and resolve or elevate any compliance issues.
Facilitate configuration management (CM) change management process and audits.
Facilitate communication and engagement of business and IT management to encourage CM efforts and value propositions.
Be responsible for successful implementation, initial support and maintenance of configuration management information system (CMIS).
Engage with strategic projects to ensure configuration management can deliver the required CMIS functionality within project periods.
Review and approve all changes to the CMIS infrastructure where applicable.
Review and approve significant IT infrastructure changes to ensure impacts to configuration management data are addressed.
Mentor the organization of CM services, concepts, policies, and procedures.
Provide and approve all requirements, use cases, user stories, etc. to support new or improved CMIS functionality.
Review and approve all requests for administrator log‑on credentials and access rights to the CMIS infrastructure.
Review and publish configuration management reporting.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Nuclear Engineering, Computer Science, or related STEM field.
7 years minimum experience in Configuration Management.
At least 4 years of proven experience leading major capital projects in the nuclear or other regulated industries in compliance with Configuration Management standards.

The preferred work location for this role is at the GEH Headquarters Wilmington, NC.
Desired Characteristics/Qualifications
Experience in nuclear energy is highly desired.
Effective communication skills in working both internally and externally.
Proven initiative and problem‑solving capabilities in product development early in the product lifecycle.
5 years’ experience in industries requiring highly regulated configuration control.
Experience working in an integrated or alliance product delivery environment.
Familiarity with ISO19650 building information modelling (BIM) standards.
Familiarity with construction common data environment and BIM tooling.
Experience with product commercialization via NPI tollgate process.
Experience with project management, project set‑up, uncertainty management, risk identification and mitigation strategy development.
Familiarity with Nuclear QA Programs.
Familiarity with Nuclear Export Controls Requirements.
Proven leadership capabilities with ability to motivate others to achieve results.
Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects.
Strong project management, presentation, and PC skills.

For a U.S. based position, the pay range is between $113,200.00 and $188,800.00. The company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.
Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
