SkillBridge Program Overview
Global Medical Response (GMR) is an authorized provider of the Department of Defense SkillBridge program, offering active‑duty U.S. military service members the chance to gain civilian work experience in the medical response industry through training, internships, and on‑the‑job (OJT) experience.

During the SkillBridge program, participants will retain their military pay and benefits and will not be compensated by GMR. The program lasts up to 180 days and aligns with company schedules and service member availability.

SkillBridge Program Minimum Requirements

Current active‑duty United States military service member

Meets DoD SkillBridge qualifications

Available for 180 days of training

Approval from unit commander (rank 04 or above) and agreement that participation may be terminated at any time in case of mission requirements

During the SkillBridge Program

24‑hour base housing provided at select locations (for Field Mechanics)

If Hired after Completion of the SkillBridge Program
Although completion does not guarantee employment, newly hired GMR Guardian Flight aircraft maintenance technicians can expect the following:

Starting salary: $65,239 – $94,567 (plus geographic modifier as applicable)

IA stipend: 2,080

Sign‑on bonus: 12,500

Schedule: Monday‑Friday or 4‑10 (4 days, 10 hours)

Position Overview
We are hiring an Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) responsible for the overall maintenance and safety of our fleet of aircraft. The role involves leading a maintenance team to deliver timely, high‑quality transportation services and care to patients.

Responsibilities

Perform maintenance services including mechanical inspections, screening, repairs, and providing regular status reports to the Lead Technician.

Manage inventory checks to ensure supplies and equipment stock, update equipment tracking logs, place replacement requests when necessary, and document part expenditures.

Maintain accurate service paperwork and FAA information as required, comply with company policies, procedures, and information security standards.

Ensure a safe and clean working environment for the maintenance team and flight crew.

Use appropriate communication methods to facilitate coordination between departments, vendors, and team members.

Collaborate professionally with all allied health and public safety personnel, as well as fellow AMTs and the operations team.

Minimum Required Qualifications

Current FAA Airframe Mechanic Certificate (or verifiable work history meeting FAA Airframe requirements within 6 months of hire)

Current FAA Repairman Certificate (or verifiable work history meeting FAA Repairman requirements within 6 months of hire)

At least five (5) years of field maintenance experience maintaining avionics systems on modern fixed‑wing and/or rotorcraft operated under a Part 135 air carrier certificate.

Preferred Qualifications

FAA Inspection Authorization Certificate

Related experience under 14 CFR Part 135

Autopilot maintenance experience

Avionics and electrical repair experience
