Job Title: Senior Data Analyst — Public Cloud LRP Model Automation
Location: Santa Clara, CA (Remote– Tues to Thurs onsite preferred)
Duration: Contract (Potential to convert to FTE)
Job Summary
We are seeking a Senior Data Analyst with strong experience in financial modeling and Python-based automation to support public cloud long-range planning (LRP) initiatives. This role focuses on converting complex Excel-based financial models into scalable, production-ready solutions using Jupyter Notebooks and Python.
Key Responsibilities
Build and maintain financial models using Python and Jupyter Notebooks
Convert and optimize Excel-based LRP and driver-based models into automated solutions
Perform Monte Carlo simulations and scenario analysis (P10/P50/P90)
Develop data pipelines for extracting and processing financial and billing data
Conduct variance analysis and create financial insights using visualization tools
Collaborate with finance, engineering, and business teams to align modeling outputs with business needs
Required Skills
Strong experience with Python (NumPy, Pandas, SciPy) and Jupyter Notebooks
Hands‑on experience with financial modeling and FP&A concepts
Experience with Monte Carlo simulations and scenario modeling
Advanced Excel skills and experience with complex financial models
SQL knowledge and experience working with data pipelines
Experience with data visualization tools (Plotly, Matplotlib, or similar)
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or related field
5+ years of experience in financial modeling, data analysis, or FP&A
3+ years of experience using Python for financial modeling
Experience working with cloud or technology environments is a plus
