System Administrator - Cloud Support - 10+ yrs of Experience - TS/SCI w/Poly Required
Halogen Engineering is looking for a Utility Cloud Support Systems Administrator on our team. You will provide system administration solutions to meet required capabilities for cloud, Virtual Desktop (VDI), and other current and future Computer Infrastructure. You will create bills of materials, network designs and diagrams, rack elevations, cable run lists, build books, and other documentation for new and updated installations. You will also work with network, storage, and server personnel to define new or modified solutions to complex problems; respond to requests for new MUC and VDI systems; design systems to meet capacity and user requirements; and determine required power, space, cooling, and funding to meet these goals.

Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract‑specific affordability and organizational requirements.
Requirements
Capabilities/Experience Required
Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university and ten (10) years’ experience as a system administrator in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required. Five (5) years of additional system‑administrator experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree. DoD 8570 compliance with Information Assurance Management (IAM) Level I or higher is required.
Additional Domain Experience:
Computer Network Operations – Must have at least two (2) years of demonstrated experience in modern operating systems and network architectures.
Information Assurance – Must have at least two (2) years of demonstrated experience in certification and accreditation, architecture development and design, risk assessments, and IA metrics gathering.
Ability to work independently and in groups to complete tasks bounded by constraints.
Experience with VMware virtualization technology.
Ability to break down complex problem space, formulate technical strategies, build action plans, and track progress against established baselines to resolve technical challenges and meet customer expectations.
Desired Skills
Strong writing and communication skills
