
Receiving Clerk

The Receiving Clerk leads and organizes the receiving and storage of all food items and non‑food items for the Miraval restaurants/kitchens.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Receives and puts away all deliveries in coordination with the Purchasing team for the Miraval kitchens.
Primary focus is the Harvest Moon restaurant, with the 1894 restaurant and Sloane’s Restaurant also within their purview.
Checks for food safety of food items delivered and confers with the chef on duty daily.
Maintains organization and ensures cleanliness of the walk‑in refrigerators, freezers, and dry storage for the restaurants at Miraval.
Receives and maintains organization of all restaurant china/smallware and maintains an inventory of china/smallware on hand.
Receives and maintains proper storage and organization of all kitchen banquet equipment.
Ensures the loading dock area and garbage receptacles of the kitchens are always clean, rinsed off, and safe from slip hazards.
Ensures all cardboard and boxed items received are neatly recycled.
Reviews departmental requisitions daily and organizes for expedient fulfillment and delivery.
Ensures all food storage areas including refrigerators, freezers, and dry storage are prepared for health inspections at all times.
Ensures temperature logs for all refrigerators and freezers are completed daily.
Assists the culinary team with event set‑ups.
QUALIFICATIONS
Good organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple and competing priorities.
Self‑sufficient in their work.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively connect with diverse groups and individuals.
