Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Attorney specializing in Personal Injury law to join our growing team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to represent clients who have suffered injuries, advocate for their rights, and navigate complex legal processes. The ideal candidate will possess strong litigation skills, excellent research abilities, and a passion for helping clients achieve justice.
Responsibilities
Manage personal injury cases from inception through resolution, including investigation, negotiation, and litigation.
Conduct thorough legal research using tools such as Westlaw and LexisNexis to support case strategy.
Draft legal documents, pleadings, and correspondence with precision and clarity.
Negotiate settlements with insurance companies and opposing counsel to maximize client benefits.
Represent clients in court proceedings, mediations, and depositions while maintaining professionalism and advocacy.
Maintain detailed case files and ensure compliance with all procedural requirements.
Collaborate with support staff to coordinate case activities and ensure timely progress.
Skills
Proven experience in personal injury law with a strong understanding of litigation procedures.
Excellent research skills utilizing Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other legal research platforms.
Exceptional writing skills for drafting pleadings, motions, and client communications.
Strong negotiation abilities to secure favorable settlements for clients.
Knowledge of related legal areas such as estate planning, environmental law, family law, workers' compensation law, tribal law & regulations, landlord-tenant law, securities law, immigration law, patent law, and law office administrative processes.
Ability to analyze complex legal issues across multiple practice areas including land use, securities regulation, and more.
Effective legal drafting skills combined with meticulous attention to detail in all documentation.
Experience
Specific personal injury: 5 years (Required)
License / Certification
Illinois Bar License (Required)
