
Legal Services Veteran-Homeless Attorney

SCLS seeks a Full-time LSV-H Attorney.
The LSV-H Attorney will provide a wide range of civil legal representations, advocacy, and outreach to Veterans. The LSV-H Attorney will provide direct legal representation to eligible veterans across a range of civil legal issues, including housing, VA benefits, family law, and discharge upgrades.
Qualifications
Member of the SC Bar
Litigation and clinical experience preferred but not required if committed to: (a)Public interest/poverty law
(b)Working with low-income, underserved, rural, diverse clients and client communities (c)Ability to collaborate effectively with other advocates and those agencies that serve the low-income community
Knowledge of the Rules of Civil Procedures, Rules of Evidence, Rules of the Family Court, and Rules of Appellate Procedure
Excellent relationship building, leadership, and research skills
Strong oral, written, and presentation communication skills; bilingual skills are a plus, but not required
Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 and SharePoint Online
Valid driver’s license and good driving record, as use of the firm’s vehicles may be
