Location
This position is based in Charlottesville, VA. We strongly prefer someone who is primarily on-site, but we are open to discussing a hybrid arrangement for the right candidate. Relocation candidates are welcome, and relocation assistance may be considered.

Candidates must be licensed to practice law in Virginia and have 3+ years of civil litigation experience, including first-chair responsibility.

Job Description
Represent clients in family law and related civil litigation matters from intake through resolution.
Manage active litigation matters involving pleadings, discovery, motions, hearings, negotiations, and trial preparation.
Take first-chair responsibility in hearings, trials, and client-facing litigation strategy.
Work directly with clients to provide clear legal guidance, practical advice, and strong advocacy.
Collaborate with attorneys across the firm on litigation strategy and complex legal issues.
Supervise and coordinate with legal support staff to keep matters moving efficiently.
Build strong client relationships while contributing to the firm's reputation for excellent service and professionalism.
Qualifications
Virginia Bar license required.
3+ years of civil litigation experience required.
Family law experience strongly preferred.
First-chair litigation, hearing, or trial experience required.
Strong writing, research, negotiation, and courtroom skills.
Ability to manage cases independently while working collaboratively with attorneys and staff.
