We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Design Engineer (Drainage Designer) to join our team. This role focuses on transforming field data into high-quality engineering drawings and models that support surveying, engineering, and construction operations.
This position is open to a range of experience levels, from entry-level CAD designers to more experienced designers capable of supporting complex design and modeling efforts. Responsibilities and expectations will scale with experience and capability.
Position Overview
As a Design Engineer, you will be responsible for producing accurate and detailed CAD deliverables based on survey data and project requirements. You will collaborate closely with surveyors, engineers, and project managers to ensure quality and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Produce drawings in CAD/GIS and other software
Interpret construction drawing sets for layout and design coordination
Develop and manage 3D CAD models
Perform QA/QC on drawings and deliverables
Ensure compliance with company and client CAD standards
Maintain document clarity, consistency, and organization
Collaborate with internal teams to support project execution
Qualifications
Education & Experience
Engineering or Design Technology background preferred
0–5+ years of experience in civil or survey drafting/design
Hydraulic modeling a plus
Technical Skills
Proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D
Experience with survey data processing software
3D modeling experience is a plus
Soft Skills
High attention to detail
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Effective communication and teamwork abilities
