
Security & Intelligence Investigator

The primary purpose of the Regional Security Investigator role is to manage and conduct security investigations within an assigned region in the United States, ensuring all incidents are thoroughly examined and resolved. This position supports the Investigations Manager for NORTAM in maintaining a secure environment by addressing security concerns and mitigating risks.
Responsibilities
Investigate thefts or suspected thefts, significant violations of law, security‑related incidents involving employees, information security breaches, threats of violence to workforce, significant product count variances, risk across business groups, undercover investigations and other highly sensitive matters and conduct interviews when appropriate.
Partner with respective stakeholders to effectively deal with internal and external threats, workplace violence, and crisis situations that require emergency response.
Drive strategies and process improvements to reduce financial loss to the business.
Review all losses to determine root causes and develop procedures to prevent and reduce recurrences.
Develop strategic relationships with local, state and federal law enforcement and enlist support when appropriate.
Participate in crisis response and management, providing expertise during security incidents and emergencies.
Stay updated on security trends and best practices, contributing to the ongoing enhancement of the organization’s security measures.
Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to investigation outcomes and the effectiveness of security measures.
Travel to sites within the assigned region to conduct investigations.
Education & Qualification
Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in corporate security investigations.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, or advanced certifications.
Experience in a multi‑national corporate environment.
7–10 years of background in law enforcement or military intelligence.
Knowledge & Skills
In‑depth knowledge of investigative techniques and methodologies.
Proficiency in using investigation management software and tools.
Understanding of legal and regulatory requirements related to corporate security.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
High level of integrity and discretion in handling sensitive information.
Preferred Skills
Familiarity with logistic experience in managing cross‑border investigations and proficiency in multiple languages.
Demonstrated ability to influence and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels, and experience delivering training and presentations on security‑related topics.
Negotiation and conflict‑resolution skills.
