Marketing and Communications Summer Intern – Tulane Campus Health

$12 per hour

Job Summary
Tulane Campus Health is seeking a creative, motivated, and detail‑oriented Marketing and Communications Intern to join our team for the summer. In this role, you will create engaging, informative, and visually compelling content that promotes Campus Health services and helps students stay informed about topics that impact their health and well‑being. You will work on real projects—from social media campaigns to newsletter articles—that reach the Tulane student community and support key Campus Health initiatives.

Supervision
The Marketing and Communications Intern will report to the Associate Director of Marketing and Communications for Campus Health, Elaine Broussard.

Responsibilities

Content Creation: Draft and develop posts, stories, and short‑form videos (Reels/TikToks) for Campus Health’s social media platforms, focusing on engaging, student‑centered content.

Trend Awareness: Stay informed about current social media trends and student‑facing content styles to keep Campus Health messaging relevant and engaging.

Stall Street Journal (SSJ): Write and revise articles for our newsletter, translating health topics and departmental updates into clear, accessible content for students.

Video Content (Concept + Scripting): Draft concepts and scripts for short promotional and educational videos, and collaborate with the video intern on production.

Photography: Capture and edit photos of Campus Health facilities, staff, and events as needed for use in digital and print materials.

Event Promotion: Create flyers, digital graphics, and other promotional materials to support Campus Health programs and events.

On‑Camera Participation (Preferred): Appear in social media or video content as needed, or help coordinate peers who are comfortable participating.

Qualifications

Experience with content creation in at least one or more areas, such as social media, writing, photography, or video.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Interest in content creation, storytelling, and digital media, with a willingness to learn and apply feedback.

Familiarity with social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, etc.).

Experience with tools such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite preferred.

Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.

Interest in health, wellness, or student‑focused communications.
