Lehmann School is a private school located in Lakewood, NJ that serves students with multiple disabilities. Students in our program participate in daily educational and therapeutic activities designed to meet their needs and support their growth.
LADACIN (Lifetime Assistance for Developmental and Challenging Individual Needs) has been serving the community for more than 75 years and is a non‑profit agency whose mission is to provide a continuum of care, including educational, therapeutic, social, residential, and support services, to infants, children, and adults with complex physical and developmental disabilities or delays.

Duties and Responsibilities
The School Social Worker supports students and families throughout the educational process. Responsible for case management, participation in intake and assessment, IEP development, counseling, and coordination of home–school–community communication. Additional duties include providing resources to families, preparing written reports, overseeing social work students, and collaborating with transdisciplinary team members. This position may involve moderate to strenuous activity including lifting, bending, pulling, pushing, and stooping.
Requirements
Qualifications required:
Master’s Degree in Social Work;
NJ Department of Education certification as a School Social Worker;
Previous experience working with individuals with multiple or physical disabilities preferred;
Strong human relations and communication skills;
Ability to work effectively with administrators, colleagues, school staff, students, parents, and community members;
Must pass a criminal background check, meet Department of Education clearance requirements, and have a current negative Mantoux test.
Location
LADACIN is based in Monmouth and Ocean counties. Our locations are surrounded by beautiful natural settings. This position is located in Ocean County.
