Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) Administrator to lead day-to-day operations of a Joint Commission–accredited outpatient surgery center. This executive leader will partner closely with physician owners/investors, the governing board, and onsite leadership to drive clinical quality, operational efficiency, financial performance, and an exceptional patient and employee experience. This role is best suited for a growth-oriented, hands-on business leader who can build strong physician relationships and is committed to long-term success in the position.
Key Responsibilities

Lead daily operations across administrative, clinical support, revenue cycle, and business functions.
Serve as liaison among the governing board, medical staff, facility leadership, and corporate/home-office partners.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations; accreditation standards; and quality and safety requirements.
Develop and manage operating, staffing, and capital budgets; monitor KPIs and implement corrective actions.
Oversee staffing plans, hiring, performance management, engagement, and workforce development.
Support physician relations, credentialing processes, and medical staff coordination.
Manage vendor, service, and physician contracts; oversee purchasing and facility services.
Champion quality improvement, infection prevention, risk management, and patient experience initiatives.
Identify opportunities for service line growth, cost optimization, and operational improvement.
Required Qualifications

Experience:

2–5 years of leadership experience in an ASC, or hospital surgical services leadership with ASC exposure.
Seniority Level:

Executive Management.
Management Experience:

Required; demonstrated accountability for operations and financial outcomes.
Education:

Bachelor’s degree required (business, healthcare administration, or related field preferred).
Working knowledge of accreditation, regulatory compliance, quality programs, infection control, and risk management.
Strong financial acumen (budgeting, forecasting, revenue/cost drivers) and contract management experience.
Proven ability to build trust and alignment with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
