Responsibilities
Provide clinical oversight and supervision to ASWs and MFTIs; assist the Director in quality assurance and program development tasks for social services; deliver emotional support, crisis intervention, and counseling; provide information and referral; facilitate referrals for financial assistance and supportive services to patients and families facing hospitalization, illness, disability, or trauma across all clinical care areas; offer case management, milieu management, complete psychosocial assessments; aid in development and re‑evaluation of treatment plans; work as a member of an interdisciplinary team and coordinate discharge planning; complete necessary documentation and maintain clinical records for all social service consults throughout the length of stay.
Education, Experience, Training
Required Qualifications
Master’s Degree in Social Work or Marriage and Family Therapy
Current state licensure required upon hire and active status (LCSW, LMFT)
Minimum of two (2) years of inpatient or outpatient behavioral health experience
Experience working with a diverse population and a wide range of problems (e.g., death and dying, maternal and childcare, unhoused population, substance use disorders, disability, chronic illness)
Preferred Qualifications
Current BLS certificate upon hire and active status
State Board approval to provide clinical supervision to interns, as indicated

Huntington Beach Hospital offers competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package that provides employees the flexibility to tailor benefits according to their individual needs. The Total Rewards package includes paid time off, a 401K retirement plan, medical, dental, and vision coverage, tuition reimbursement, and many voluntary benefit options. A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $31.00 to $47.45. Final compensation will be determined at the time of hiring based on skillset, experience, education, credentials, and licensure.
