Position Title: Information Technology Specialist (ERM/RIM & Microsoft Purview)
Location: Washington, DC (Hybrid – Minimum 50% On-Site Required)

NEOSTEK, Inc. is seeking an experienced Information Technology Specialist to support the implementation, configuration, maintenance, and optimization of its Electronics Records Management (ERM) solution, with a primary focus on Microsoft Purview Records Management. This position is responsible for ensuring the stability, security, compliance, and high performance of the Microsoft Purview platform and related technology components that power the organization’s Records and Information Management (RIM) processes. The successful candidate will bring deep technical expertise in Microsoft Purview Records Management, including records labeling, retention policies, disposition workflows, and compliance features, while providing timely support, troubleshooting, and issue resolution to maintain a robust and effective records management environment.
Responsibilities:
Provide expert technical support for the implementation, configuration, and ongoing management of the Electronic Records Management (ERM) solution, with a primary focus on Microsoft Purview Records Management, to ensure optimal system functionality, user adoption, and timely assistance to end users and stakeholders.
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues in Microsoft Purview Records Management promptly, minimizing disruptions to Records and Information Management (RIM) processes while maintaining high availability and compliance posture.
Maintain, monitor, and optimize the Microsoft Purview platform and support IT infrastructure components to ensure scalability, reliability, performance, and alignment with organizational records management requirements.
Ensure that Microsoft Purview Records Management configurations and associated IT components fully adhere to organizational security standards, regulatory compliance obligations, data governance policies, and applicable legal requirements.
Implement and maintain robust security safeguards within Microsoft Purview, including secure configurations, role-based access controls (using the Records Management role group and administrative units where appropriate), data protection measures, and audit logging to protect sensitive and high-value records.
Lead the configuration, integration, automation, and enhancement of Microsoft Purview Records Management features, including the development and management of retention labels, retention policies, file plans, adaptive policy scopes, auto-application rules, disposition workflows, records declaration, and multi-stage disposition reviews.
Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders (including Compliance, Legal, IT, and business units) to support system upgrades, testing, pilot programs, user training, and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of the organization’s records management program.

Requirements:
Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Management Information Systems (MIS), or a closely related field.
Minimum of 5 years of IT support experience, with a focus on RIM projects and Microsoft Purview/Records Management implementation.
Demonstrated experience supporting enterprise-level information governance, compliance, or ERM solutions.
Proficiency with Microsoft 365 technologies, including Microsoft Purview, SharePoint, and related compliance tools.
Understanding of federal records management regulations (e.g., NARA, OMB, FOIA).
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
Must be available to work on-site in Washington, DC at least 50% of the time.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
U.S. Citizenship is required due to the nature of the government contract.
Preferred (Not Required):
Experience working with federal agencies or in public sector environments.
Strong technical background, preferably with development experience.
Experience supporting ERM or RIM solution deployments within large, structured, or regulated environments.
Familiarity with information governance frameworks, retention schedules, and compliance requirements relevant to public-sector organizations.
Implementation experience using Microsoft Purview.
Mandatory Requirements:
