We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented
Bilingual Social Worker (Russian/English)
to provide case management and advocacy services within a specialized survivor support program. This role is ideal for professionals committed to delivering high-quality, client-centered care to vulnerable populations.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct client intakes, assessments, and provide accurate information and referrals
Assist clients with applications and re-certifications for benefits and entitlements
Perform home, hospital, and facility visits as needed
Develop, implement, and monitor individualized care plans
Advocate for clients and coordinate necessary services
Provide supportive counseling and maintain ongoing communication with clients and families
Maintain accurate and timely case documentation using internal data systems
Track and report program statistics in accordance with organizational standards
Participate in supervision, team meetings, and report urgent concerns promptly
Support and facilitate group activities, events, and workshops
Supervise social work students (if applicable)
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required;
MSW strongly preferred
Fluency in Russian and English (reading and writing) required
Minimum
2 years of case management experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general technology tools
Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and maintain attention to detail
Demonstrated commitment to treating clients with dignity and respect
Hybrid schedule:
2 days remote / 3 days in office (Washington Heights area)
Regular fieldwork (2–3 days/week) within the Bronx and surrounding areas
Travel via public transportation required
Standard hours:
Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
