
Network Technician

Kforce has a client in Fulton, MD that is seeking a Network Technician.
Responsibilities
Perform the physical installation of network equipment
Deploy network hardware and software for LAN/WAN environments
Assist in the setup and configuration of network services such as DNS, DHCP, and VLANs
Assist in the setup and maintenance of wireless networks, including access points and controllers
Perform basic troubleshooting and optimization of wireless network performance
Proficiency in using network diagnostic and monitoring tools
Requirements
Strong troubleshooting skills with a methodical approach to problem‑solving
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non‑technical users
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment
Ability to lift and install network equipment, including running and terminating network cables
Willingness to work in various environments, including server rooms and remote locations
Experience with wireless networking would be a plus
Compensation & Benefits
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
