Position Summary
Rooted in the Catholic and Franciscan tradition, the part-time Program Support Specialist advances the mission of the College of Education by supporting programs that prepare thoughtful, skilled, and compassionate educators. This role contributes to a collaborative academic community grounded in respect, service, integrity, and compassion, ensuring that students, partners, and colleagues are supported with care and professionalism. The position plays a key role in program operations, student success, and data-informed decision-making that strengthens and grows the College's impact.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Support the onboarding of new students in a manner that reflects compassion and respect, ensuring a welcoming and inclusive experience
Develop, maintain, and audit academic degree plans and academic records with a high level of accuracy and integrity
Independently manage student and programmatic data entry and maintenance, ensuring systems are current, reliable, and aligned with institutional standards
Generate enrollment and program reports, analyze trends, and share insights to support continuous improvement and growth
Work with marketing department to design promotional and web-based materials for program recruitment
Engage with school and community partners in a spirit of service, helping to identify areas of need and support the development and expansion of responsive programs
Collaborate with faculty, staff, and partners to advance shared goals, contributing to a culture of mutual respect and teamwork
Communicate clearly, professionally, and compassionately with students and partners, providing timely and supportive responses
Demonstrate initiative and accountability while working both independently and collaboratively
Perform in support of the College of Education and the broader university mission
Participate in and promote a culture of continuing quality improvement
Other related duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree
Demonstrated commitment to the values of respect, service, integrity, and compassion with a strong focus on positive relationships
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and work both independently and collaboratively
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
Strong written and verbal communication skills with a relational, service-oriented approach
Ability to analyze data and use findings to support program improvement and strategic growth
Willingness to support the Catholic and Franciscan values of the university
Preferred Requirements
Experience in PK-12 and higher education
Experience with enrollment management, academic advising systems, student information systems, and/or program coordination (Canvas, Banner, etc.)
Familiarity with data reporting tools or dashboards
Proficiency in publishing software programs such as Adobe and Canva
Experience working with school districts or community-based educational partners
Hours/Shift/Work Schedule
Part-time position working 20 hours per week. This position is part-time and temporary (the position will expire no later than May 31, 2029).
Physical Requirements of Position
Work is performed in an office setting with minimal exposure to health or safety hazards. Substantial time is spent working on a computer. This is sedentary work which requires the following physical activities: sitting, walking, bending, stooping, finger dexterity, repetitive motions, talking, hearing and visual acuity.
