Summary
The Student Office Coordinator is a part-time student position responsible for greeting visitors, answering and directing telephone calls, processing mail, and performing other clerical tasks such as typing, filing, and copying. The Student Office Coordinator also serves as the on‑call contact for front desk operations and assists the Assistant Director of Operations with Desk Assistant training and scheduling. Responsibilities also include coordination of resident amenities programs such as processing of packages and deliveries and key check‑out/audits.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Maintain confidentiality in all matters concerning students, staff discipline and other work‑related matters.

Answer incoming telephone calls and determine purpose of callers.

Assist with reviewing & forwarding voicemail messages to staff members.

Distributing and locating resident package

Assisting residents with work order requests.

Checking in/out loan keys to residents.

Enforcing policies/procedures of the residence halls and the university (including campus, state, and federal regulations).

Assisting AD of Operations in Key Audits and other administrative tasks.

Complete other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

High school diploma

Must be a current Marshall University student with an undergraduate cumulative GPA of 2.4 or graduate cumulative GPA of 3.0. GPA of 2.4 or higher.

Be able to operate office equipment (copier, printer and computers).

Have proficient knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word.

Ability to work flexible part‑time hours during normal business hours

Demonstrate understanding of and strong commitment to customer service.

Display strong interpersonal written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to effectively work and interact respectfully in a diverse and inclusive environment.

Ability to move/lift up to 35 pounds.
