Job Title: Quality Manager

Location: Vance, AL

Position Summary:

The Quality Manager role is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining quality management systems that ensure operational processes and services meet Schnellecke Logistics and customer requirements. This position drives quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives across the operation while promoting a culture of quality, accountability, and operational excellence.

The Quality Manager partners with operations, engineering, and leadership teams to identify risks, resolve quality issues, and ensure adherence to industry standards such as ISO 9001. This role plays a critical part in maintaining customer satisfaction, reducing defects, and supporting long‑term operational performance.

What you’ll do

Execute the values, philosophy, mission, strategy, policies, and standards of Schnellecke Logistics

Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems aligned with customer and company requirements

Establish and monitor quality control processes, including inspections, testing, and documentation standards

Investigate quality issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions

Conduct internal audits and support external audits to ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and other applicable standards

Lead quality training initiatives to improve employee awareness and adherence to quality standards

Perform risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to minimize operational and compliance risks

Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to evaluate the impact of operational decisions on quality outcomes

Analyze quality data, trends, and customer feedback to identify improvement opportunities

Drive continuous improvement initiatives using structured problem‑solving methodologies

Ensure compliance with environmental, regulatory, and customer‑specific quality requirements

Maintain accurate documentation, reporting, and tracking of quality metrics and performance indicators

Support operational teams in maintaining process consistency and adherence to standard work procedures

Perform additional duties as assigned to support business and operational needs

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field preferred

ISO 9001 audit certification required or strongly preferred

Knowledge of quality management systems, regulatory standards, and compliance requirements

Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and root cause analysis skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and quality‑related systems or tools

Ability to work cross‑functionally in a fast‑paced logistics or manufacturing environment

Must be able to pass a criminal background check

Must be able to pass a drug screening

Work Environment

Work is performed in both warehouse and office environments

Exposure to moving mechanical parts, equipment, and varying noise levels

Frequent standing, walking, and occasional bending or reaching may be required

Interaction with cross‑functional teams, including operations, engineering, and leadership

Required use of Personal Protective Equipment while on the shop floor
