
Financial Analyst-A

This role will work a hybrid schedule based out of Stamford, CT, with remote work required to be located in CT, NY, or NJ.
Position Summary
The position is responsible for supporting the Medical Group’s financial operations. This includes all aspects of physician compensation, performance management, and reporting. The role processes physician compensation accurately and on time in accordance with employment agreements, and it provides analysis and monitoring of charge capture data, claim adjustments, and payments related to wRVU calculations in EPIC and the Integrated Analytics reporting system.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain master physician employment contractual summaries for reporting, statistical analyses, and benchmarking.
Maintain physician employment contracts.
Access a variety of databases and reports using EPIC, Excel, and decision support software to extract, validate, and analyze provider productivity and financial data.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, semi‑annual, and annual provider compensation calculations and adjustments.
Perform month‑end financial close functions to calculate and accrue amounts for physician bonuses and non‑standard compensation payments.
Develop and possess a strong understanding of Revenue Cycle Management processes to evaluate and monitor the accuracy and completeness of physician productivity measures (unadjusted to adjusted wRVUs).
Provide ongoing support for compensation calculations, reporting, and system functionality.
Handle complex compensation calculations and produce clear, detailed compensation statements for physicians.
Communicate effectively with physicians, administrators, and practice managers on all compensation matters.
Process payroll adjustment forms (PTAF forms) and check requests as needed.
Support Stamford Health’s participation in annual MGMA, AMGA, and Sullivan & Cotter Compensation and Production Surveys.
Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
Complete required continuous training and education, including department‑specific requirements.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a business‑related field; finance or accounting degrees preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of healthcare finance or revenue cycle reporting experience.
High level of literacy with software/databases, including import/export and analysis of large data sets.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (complex formulas, look‑ups, IF statements, and pivot tables).
Macro writing capability preferred but not required.
Exposure to business intelligence software is a plus.
Professional and courteous interpersonal skills.
