Job Overview
As an AWS Streaming Data Engineer at Booz Allen, you will develop end-to-end streaming solutions and real‑time data ingestion and processing pipelines in a distributed, cloud‑first environment. This role focuses on building production‑ready systems using AWS services, infrastructure as code, and modern architecture patterns.
Qualifications
5+ years of software development with a cloud‑first approach
4+ years in enterprise data engineering, including geospatial data
3+ years with AWS services and cloud‑native architecture patterns (ECS/EKS, Lambda, SQS, SNS, EC2, RDS, DynamoDB, IAM, network security)
3+ years with infrastructure as code (AWS CDK, Terraform, CloudFormation)
Experience in ETL/ELT pipeline development using AWS services
API design and versioning experience for distributed streaming systems, including Apache Kafka
Experience deploying production geospatial solutions from concept to O&M
TS/SCI clearance with polygraph
Bachelor’s degree

Experience with Authority to Operate (ATO) processes and security documentation
Database administration and optimization with RDS, DynamoDB, or MongoDB
Leading technical initiatives in large‑scale environments
System design, scalability, and reliability expertise
Dashboard and monitoring system development for streaming services
Knowledge of security best practices and compliance requirements
AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, Developer, etc.)
IAT Level II+ certification such as Security+ or CISSP
Clearance
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.
Compensation and Benefits
