YJN’s mission is to break cycles of incarceration and build a more equitable justice system. Role Description
This is a full‑time hybrid role for a Job Developer located in the New York City Metropolitan Area. Some work from home is acceptable. The Job Developer will be responsible for providing job coaching, developing job opportunities, conducting career counseling, assisting with job searches, and delivering training to young individuals re‑entering the workforce after interaction with the justice system. The Job Developer will work closely with employers and community partners to create opportunities for clients.
Qualifications
Establishing relationships with employers
Skills in Job Coaching and Career Counseling
Experience in Job Development and Job Search assistance
Proficiency in Training and mentoring young individuals
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to manage a diverse caseload and build relationships with community partners
Prior experience working with justice‑involved youth is a plus
Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Human Resources, or a related field
