Role
The Service Advisor serves as a welcoming point of contact for members, processes routine financial transactions, and provides outstanding service reflecting the credit union's commitment to members.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

Receives and processes member financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, and loan payments; posts transactions accurately and maintains confidentiality.

Reviews member accounts to refer credit union products and services that benefit the member and completes cross‑sales.

Assists with reconciling daily transactions, ensuring cash, checks, vouchers, and recyclers match system records, and assists with cash recyclers and vault as needed.

Welcomes members and provides routine information concerning credit union services; directs members to appropriate departments for specific information.

Ensures compliance with regulatory programs including the Bank Secrecy Act, OFAC, and Customer Identification Program; performs other duties as assigned. Remote employees must maintain a secure location and active communication during working hours.

Performance Measurements

Consistently provide friendly, professional, member‑focused service, ensuring members feel valued and supported.

Ensure accurate daily cash drawer balancing and proper closing procedures with minimal outages.

Maintain a working knowledge of the credit union's products and services.

Conduct daily transactions with minimal errors.

Comply with all established policies and procedures.

Inform management of any suspicious activity and ensure compliance with regulations.

Complete required annual BSA/AML training with a passing grade of 80% or higher.

Complete required Red Flags Program requirements, including documentation of discrepancy resolution.

Requirements

Experience : One month to twelve months of similar or related experience.

Education : A high school education or GED.

Interpersonal Skills : Work involves personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation; requires diplomacy and tact.

Other Skills : Good communication skills; ability to type, use computer, credit union software, and general office equipment, 10‑key calculator; basic to intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Word, Outlook, and Excel.

Physical Requirements

Must use hands, speak and hear; stand, sit, walk for long periods; required vision abilities include close vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus; must assess accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of work.

Work Environment

This position is not eligible for remote or hybrid work.

Salary
$17.75 per hour
