Job Title: Social Worker - Spine Program
This social worker will be an integral part of the Mount Sinai Hospital Spine Program. They will provide psychosocial counseling and discharge planning services for orthopedic neurosurgery spine patients throughout the hospital (typically on 8C, 8E, 8W, 10E, 11W).
Qualifications
NYS LMSW or LCSW.
Excellent psychosocial assessment and engagement skills.
Demonstrated ability to develop and implement safe, appropriate, and timely discharge plans in a demanding, fast-paced environment.
Exceptional collaborative and communication skills.
Excellent clinical, organizational, and organizational skills.
Minimum one year in current position unless a Cardiac/Surgery float.
Responsibilities
Pre-operative outreach and counseling to spine patients, may include other orthopedic patients.
Utilize knowledge of crisis, family and systems theories in an interdisciplinary setting.
Focus on program development and patient satisfaction.
Engage in teamwork, committee meetings and participation beyond the purview of the floor assignment.
Provide critical support to the Mount Sinai Spine Program; coverage includes med/surg specialty.
Compensation
The salary range for the role is $85,280.00 - $101,670.78 annually.
