Job Summary
The Systems/Application Analyst’s assigned duties in the Information Technology Department include but are not limited to systems support, software maintenance, help desk requests as well as assistance in other areas as needed. Maintain the integrity of the Information Technology systems, recommend, and install system hardware and software, analyze systems for potential issues, resolve issues and develop documentation on best practices. The analyst will demonstrate Old‑World Hospitality and Charm while enforcing the Responsible Gaming Plan as well as adherence to Internal Control Procedures.

Pay Rate: $27.10 per hour.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Responsible for planning, configuring, installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and providing end‑user support for software.

Achieves system operational objectives by contributing information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews.

Responsible for preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer‑service standards.

Responsible for resolving problems, completing audits, identifying trends, determining system improvements, and implementing changes.

Required to develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures and associated training plans for effective management and control of systems.

Responsible for documenting and training of system users on proper usage of software.

Advises senior management by identifying critical security issues.

Recommends risk‑reduction solutions.

Ensures data integrity by keeping system updates and security rights updated at all times.

Responsible for continuously evaluating the systems and casino/users’ needs.

Responsible for understanding of server technologies, operating systems, as well as physical and virtual servers.

Responsible for understanding of backup policies and procedures, working with backup software.

Installs new and/or upgrades existing computer‑based systems software.

Manages projects which include documentation, communication, development/approval, and user signoffs.

Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations; coordinating hardware and software evaluations with vendors.

Supports for systems provisioning.

Analyzes system problems and determines solutions and processes to implement.

Troubleshoots calls from team members not limited to system issues.

Required to manage and maintain a VM virtual environment such as datastores, LUNs and ESX hosts.

Performs related duties and responsibilities as required.

Education And Experience

University degree in Computer Science or Business Administration required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.

Solid analytical and problem‑solving skills, critical thinking and time‑management skills are necessary.

Strong mentoring skills for teamwork.

Knowledge of casino operations preferred.

Strong knowledge of casino and hospitality specific technology and trends preferred.

Excellent communication skills.

Strong project management skills.

SQL database understanding and knowledge.

Basic LAN and WAN troubleshooting skills.

Casino, POS, Hotel, Spa, and other miscellaneous software system support.

Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

Attend required training sessions offered by the casino.

Obtain required license(s).

Perform the duties described in compliance with local laws and regulations.

Responsible for taking the necessary steps to ensure minors are not allowed to gamble or loiter in gambling areas, drink alcoholic beverages, or purchase tobacco.

Knowledge of the ordinances, regulations, laws, policies, and procedures relating to the team member’s department.

Knowledge of the property’s programs to address problem gambling.

Consult with the appropriate individuals and maintain an effective system of written policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance with gaming regulations and internal controls.

Responsible for taking the appropriate steps to investigate exceptions, fraud, and potential violations and report such instances to the appropriate levels of management.

Reports any acts of wrongdoing on behalf of any team member that they have knowledge of.
