Client Representative Intern – Global Shareholder Services

As a Client Representative Intern within our Global Shareholder Services (GSS) team, you’ll gain real‑world experience supporting financial advisors and shareholders while developing valuable skills for a future career in financial services.
This internship is ideal for students who are curious, motivated, and eager to learn in a collaborative, fast‑paced environment.
Internship Details
Internship Program Dates: June 8, 2026 – December 31, 2026
Location: Rancho Cordova, CA – Must be able to commute to the office Tuesday–Thursday
Training Schedule (First ~3 Weeks): Global training program, Monday–Friday, 9:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m. EST
Work Schedule: Hybrid model – In‑office Tuesday–Thursday, Optional remote work Monday & Friday, Flexible hours between 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m. local time
Hours Commitment: Summer (June–August): Up to 37.5 hours per week; Fall (September–December): Minimum of 15 hours per week, based on academic availability; Remote work may be considered during the Fall semester, depending on location
What You’ll Do
Learn the fundamentals of mutual fund and investment services industry
Develop knowledge of Franklin Templeton’s products, services, and operations
Communicate professionally with financial advisors and shareholders
Execute financial and non‑financial transactions accurately and compliantly
Deliver high‑quality, confidential, and customer‑focused service
Participate in comprehensive training, mentoring, and ongoing coaching

Navigating enterprise systems and financial tools

Ideal Qualifications
Current enrollment as an undergraduate student
Interest in financial services or investment management
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
Comfort learning new systems and technology

Compensation & Work Hours
This is a full‑time internship where students will work approximately 35-40 hours per week (dependent on state/location) and earn competitive hourly pay of $18 (dependent on location and function) USD per hour. We consider factors such as location, job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience in determining compensation.
